Week 37 Project365 – 2015

Week 37 Project365 – 2015

We’ve had a busy week and feel more positive about my photos this week. I’ve given more effort to them!

Sunday – usual work day.

Monday – As the weather was good we decided to go to Cwmbran Boating Lake. Although it’s not far away we’ve not been there for about 20 years. We walked around the lake and through the football field and ended up in the pub for a swift half… as you do!!

Tuesday – swapped shift so it was a work day today. Cinema in the afternoon and this week we saw Transporter – Refuelled. It was OK…ish.. The previous Transporter films had Jason Statham in them but apparently he didn’t want anything to do with the new incarnation..
Ed Skrein plays the part of Frank Martin in the new film and he has very little charisma. The story is pretty thin and the fight scenes and car chases leaves a lot to be desired! The only saving grace was Ray Stevenson who played his father. He plays it with a twinkle in his eye..

Wednesday – A journey to Ystrad Mynach hospital for hubby to have more MRI pictures done. Relatively easy to get to and has parking under the buildings so no searching for somewhere to park. Although we got there early we weren’t kept waiting and were in and out in under an hour. Different to the nearly 2 hours at the Royal Gwent! The staff were nicer too!
We stopped off at Caerphilly on the way back. A quick walk around the town, a rather good cuppa and lunch. Very pleasant day!

Thursday – Food shopping and catching up with emails / blogs / comments.

Friday – Work day. Not much else.

Saturday – We went to Tredegar House as it has its ‘Open Doors’ event this weekend – free entrance to the house and gardens.
I haven’t been in the house for years, last time it was still rather run down and it was good to see that some of it had been restored.
Lots of staff and volunteers on hand to relay some of the history to make it even more interesting.

Today is also Theo’s first birthday!! He’s been spoiled rotten! Lots of new playthings and clothing from different members of the family and friends.

Two lots of photos for this week.

Thank you.. The arty shot was actually taken on my phone and was ‘tweaked’ by an app and just appeared as another version of the photo I took!
