Week 24 Project365 – 2015

Here we are at Week 24 of Project365 I was hoping to start the week with some time off but it wasn’t to be. Last Friday our manager said that the third person on the department had rung in sick. As I wasn’t going away I offered to give up two of of my days holiday.

Sunday – In work 7am- 3pm then back home for a relax.

Monday – Decided it was time that the hanging baskets went up. A mix of geraniums, begonias, verbena and lobelia. They’ll look better in a few weeks time. We usually have fushia as the centre plant but wanted something different this year.

Tuesday – We were going to go to Bridgend Outlet today but Hubby got a call from his boss asking if he could work in the Chepstow store as their cleaner had rung in sick! So he ended up working 6am to 1pm.
Oldest son popped in with the boys this morning. Ashley grabbed his box of cars and his garage and gave a car to Theo to play with. I think Theo will become a car nut too!!

Wednesday – another day in work instead of a holiday. Hubby had to run me to work so that he could have the car to travel to Chepstow again. We were both done by 1pm but neither of us fancied the cinema so we spent the afternoon curled up infront of the TV (well he did – I was on my lappy tweaking the blog!)

Thursday – Shopping day, there wasn’t much we needed as the freezer is choc-o-block and the store cupboards have been restocked in the last few weeks.
I’m going to blog ‘Thrifty Thursday’ each week with a pick of the weeks bargains.

I had some fun in the afternoon looking through some blogs asking for critique and had some good feedback on mine, a few tweaks to make it look better and even went into CSS to put some code in to hide the title and tagline as that’s already in the header.

Friday – Day off !! A bit of cleaning and tidying, cleared out the coat cupboard and moved my winter shoes and coat into storage. Pottered about in the garden for a while but the weather wasn’t very good. The thunderstorms that were forecast didn’t materialise thank goodness.

Saturday – Hubby is work until midday then it’s off to MIL. I’ve cleaned the cooker, not something I look forward to doing but it’s all done and looking clean and sparkly. Pity it’ll get dirty again!!

Thanks Jenny. The blog had a few different looks in the first week but I think I’m settling into this one now. I’m pretty happy with it now.

Gosh Ashley is looking so grown-up nowadays, I can’t believe how much! Your hanging baskets look fab, I’m in the middle of planting mine but it’s taking ages to get my husband to put the brackets up!

Our brackets stay up at the front. The one in the picture is hanging from a big hook on the eaves of our extension.

Apparently there are jars saying ‘try me for free’ so I’m going to look for them!

Thanks Mary, To be honest I’ve done better ones, I couldn’t get the focus right on this. I think I’ve messed about with settings on my camera so will have to check it.

Loving the way the blog looks now – you sound like you’ve got all techy. Hope this week has been fairly relaxing even if you have had to work more than expected.
