Week 47 Project366 – 2016

Week 47 Project366 – 2016

Ok this is another 2 week post Week 47 Project366 and Week 46. Cinema visits, grandsons, Christmas shopping filled the fortnight.

Week 46

Tuesday cinema visit to see Arrival. Thinking man (woman)’s Independence day. Huge craft appear all over Earth and Amy Adams along with other scientists decipher their language to discover if they come in peace or not.
It’s not an action film but does make you think how mankind would react if aliens ever did arrive!

Thursday is shopping day. It’s double discount week so 20% off shopping. We’ve been saving our weekly 10% discount onto a savings card and you get a £6 bonus when you reach £150. We’ve run down the cupboards for the past few weeks so stocked up on basics and a few treats for Christmas.

In the afternoon we had a visit from the boys and son. We got a bit silly with the camera on continuous shooting. Google assistant made some of them into mini videos.

On Saturday we bought the boys Christmas presents. Train and road tracks, some clothing and some other odds and ends.

Week 47

Tuesday cinema treat of Fantastic Beasts. Oh my goodness it is FANTASTIC! If you’re a Potter fan then there are plenty of mentions of Hogwarts, Dumbledore and the Le Stranges. Eddie Redmayne is terrific as Newt Scamander along with all the beasts!
I’m going to see it again next week..Feel like a kid but I don’t care!

Thursday we went food shopping and went for a pub lunch.

Son has been working all week so we haven’t seen the boys. They had plans for Saturday so didn’t see them then either.  Have to be grateful that son is working extra hours to pay for Christmas!

That’s my fortnight – other than a few walks when it wasn’t raining (or too cold for him!)

I’m desperate to see Fantastic Beasts! My younger son has already seen it with friends and the rest of my family don’t seem bothered. I may have to go on my own!
Am impressed by your frugal shopping and making the most of discounts.
Lovely photos of the boys 🙂

DD1 took Fifi and Bob to see Mini Beasts and said it was amazing. I will wait for the DVD.
I quite like ice gems, often take them for a snack at work.
Your google assist animations are leading to 404 errors.
The twins are getting brio train track for Christmas ( it has starred over the years on my blog as it was Bob’s)
