Week 39 Project365 – 2015
Yes – I know I’m late..but I’ve been on holiday!
Sunday – Doing last minute packing and making sure I’ve got everything we need. I’ve got a Pre-Holiday checklist feel free to use it!
Monday – Setting off at 8:30am for the journey to Bristol Airport. Took off on time and arrived at Kalamaki at 6pm their time (2 hours ahead). We got a taxi to the apartment, freshened up and was at our favourite bar before 7:30pm!
Tuesday – Spent the day at the pool and had a walkabout in the afternoon.
Wednesday – Went to Zante town. After the first photo I took of St Dionysis church I noticed a black mark in the centre of the LCD screen and it showed up on all my photos after that one!! I had to try to hide the mark on every photo. I was so upset!
Thursday – We did a coach tour of the island. When we came 4 years ago our tour was cancelled so we ended up not seeing very much.
The tour took us to a Vineyard, a monastery, look-out point for the shipwreck, St. Nicholas (for the Blue Caves), then down the east side back to Kalamaki.
It was a long day but good value at €18 each.
Friday – Another pool day but the weather broke down mid-afternoon and we had a huge thunderstorm from 5pm for a couple of hours. When it stopped raining we ran out to have some dinner but it rained again..we got a bit damp!!
Saturday – A brighter day but still very warm. We went to Zante town again so we could get a few pressies for the grandsons.
I’ll be writing a full post about Kalamaki over the next week or so. Hope you’ll look out for it.
