Week 13 Project366 – 2016
Easter this Week 13 Project366, visit to the grandsons, a day out with big icecream,
Easter Sunday – A quick visit to son’s house to drop off Easter eggs and gifts. Ashley thought his fox mug was funny. We went from there to Caldicot Castle again to take some photos for A Year with My Camera.
Day off today as the store is closed.. yipee!
Easter Monday – We took Ashley to Cwmbran Boating Lake. When his daddy and uncle were his age there used to be boats out all the time but there rarely is nowadays. It’s still a nice stroll around the lake to look at the ducks and geese.
Before we set off for the lake walk we bought Ashley an ice-cream. A huge scoop of chocolate rocky road, he got very mucky and we eventually had to ask for a spoon so he could eat it before it melted. He fed the cone to the ducks!!
After the lake walk we had some fun in the park. He’s getting quite adventurous now and likes to climb up the big cable climbing frame.
Back home for a very late lunch and back to mummy and daddy. Lovely day!!
Wednesday – After work we went to see My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2. Family, relationships, teenage daughter and discovery that the grandparents may not be officially married. All adds up to headaches for the whole family. It was quite funny and also had periods of pathos that pulled on the heart strings.
One line had me crying laughing…
Maria (mamma) : Remember, Paris (grand-daughter), protect the poulaki – eyes open knees shut!
Aunt Voula: [to Maria] If your knees are open, shut your eyes.
I’m sure I don’t have to tell what the poulaki is!!
Nothing much else for the rest of the week!
- The camelia in full bloom
- Mucky boy!
- Molly the cat trying not to get snapped
- Trying out a composition task
- A rather tatty spider web..I think he/she must have been drunk!
Did you have a good Easter?
