Week 11 – 2017 Work Work Work

Week 11 – more hours in work, 2 cinema visits and one sunny spring day!

Monday – The forecast was for a warm sunny day so we went for a walk around Cwmbran Boating Lake. Then through the football fields to the local pub, The Crows Nest. It was so warm we decided to sit outside and have a drink. It was lovely to sit in the warm sunshine. It’s so good for the soul.

Tuesday – Working and following instructions in readiness for the new £1 coins. I’m a bit of a control freak and like to have plans understood and ready to go. (a result of being part of the Change team at the bank) There was no indication on any paperwork to say when we take delivery of the new coins. When I called our finance department all I got was ‘I’m not sure, they should come next week’. <<SHAKES HEAD…..>>

I managed to finish by 1:30pm which meant a quick lunch and off to cinema to see Kong – Skull Island. It’s about King Kong of course and a group of people who go to explore the uncharted island. It’s the usual run of the mill sort of Kong film, however this time he’s not the top of the food chain. There’s something bigger and badder out there!

Wednesday – Working again and managed to get done by 1pm. A few chores in the afternoon and another cinema visit in the evening. This time for a Cineworld Preview of Free Fire. This was the 100th Unlimited preview so there was free popcorn, fudge, cake and prosecco. The film is about two Irish men who meet a up with Vernon and his cronies to buy some guns. But it all goes a bit iffy when someone recognises someone who beat him up the night before and he takes a shot at him.. All hell breaks loose with shots being fired in all directions. Although it’s pretty violent it’s not a gorefest. It’s also VERY funny with some great quotable lines.

Thursday – Day off – doing the usual food shopping and generally catching up with Walking Dead.

Friday / Saturday / Sunday – Working again. I’m bliddy knackered!

Stunning photos. I’m not getting any of that work done at the moment. I’ve been trying to clear my son’s piggy bank of £1 in readiness. Hope these new coins are nicer than the £5 notes are #365

Love the boating lake pictures. Nice to see so many signs of Spring. Great blue skies.
I know the feeling on work and being knackered, we are not getting any younger.

Free Fire sounds like a fun film. I’m ex bank myself and for all the bank bashing that goes on at least the banks are usually pretty organised – hope your shop gets themselves sorted with the coins soon.
