Life can be cruel

Life can be cruel

I know it’s nearly Christmas and all, but sometimes life can be cruel.

One:

One of my online friends died recently. We ‘met’ through LycosIQ (a question and answer site) and carried on our friendship on Facebook when IQ closed down. I’ve seen him agonise over the life saving operations his baby daughter had to have. I’ve enjoyed his sense of humour  – once spelling his partner’s name in a Farmville field!!
His daughter is now a lively 10 year old who shouldn’t have to lose her father at such a young age.

His partner had to break the news to people via his Facebook page. The post was then filled with lovely comments and memories that I hope his partner will treasure.
After the funeral last Monday she posted this that was the ending to the eulogy: (It’s from Winne the Pooh)

If ever there is a tomorrow when we’re not together…there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we’re apart…I’ll always be with you.’

Two

One of my old bank work colleagues got married recently to a lovely woman (about time too! been together at least 7 years!!) From what I can see of the photos of the day a good time was had by all.
However the happiness is now tinged with sadness as his Mum died 3 weeks after the wedding and now her Mum has also died just a few days ago.
They must be devastated, what a sad time after such a joyous event. I hope 2016 brings them both a brighter time.

Finally

Make sure you tell people you love them, don’t assume they know. Pick up the phone now and then or drop a line on their Social Media page to say ‘I was thinking of you’.
Life is way too short.
Forget your petty squabbles. Say sorry now!
Remember the good times and take joy in the laughs.

LIFE IS WAY TOO SHORT.

Your quite right, life is too short and none of us ever know. (((Hugs))) for your loses, and I love the quote from Winnie The Pooh.
