Blogger Event Cardiff – Hotter Shoes and Taking Shape
I recently attended a Blogger Event in Cardiff hosted by Hotter Shoes which also included visit to Taking Shape.
It was good to meet some other local bloggers and to catch up with TBAM and Jo Henley who I’ve met before. Lots of laughs and chatting what more can you want.
The event started in Taking Shape in the Captiol Shopping Centre. They are a plus-size fashion shop offering sizes 14 – 26. On arrival I was allocated to Maureen who took note of what I was looking for. (Blue/red top, trousers – casual and I don’t like green!) She started to show me some items and started gathering suitable garments and making suggestions on what would suit me. When I got to the changing room there was a whole rack of clothing waiting to be tried on! Maureen was on hand to help make sure the clothes looked good on me.
I don’t think I’ve ever tried on so many clothes in one go! There were lots I liked and I eventually decided on the purple Courtney pullover and the Weekender Jeans.
The staff make you feel good and there’s no hard sell. The website says ‘Everything we do is about our customers…’ and I have to agree. I’ll definitely be going back to Taking Shape. Thank you Maureen, Susan, Sam and Kerry for a lovely time!
After selecting our clothing we headed off to Hotter Shoes in St. David’s Centre. I already have a pair of Shake shoes that I love – so comfy and smart! I had browsed the website before the event and really fancied the Danville boots and the Ivy biker boots and I am still lusting after the Donna shoe!
I tried on the black leather Donna but alas I didn’t get my #HotterMoment in them. The Danville was next and although they were a great fit I felt that the soles would not be grippy enough for me. I moved on to the Ivy boots, oh, they are the ones.. #HotterMoment, #HotterFeelGoodStyle! I tried the black and tan ones and ended up walking around with one of each on as I couldn’t decide which colour I would have!! I decided on the black ones! I’ve worn them 3 times in the past week!
Thank you Mel @ Hotter and all the staff at the Cardiff store.
